Hear from our founder, Raquel, about her passion for encouraging young Black women to pursue their dreams. Partnering locally with Girls Inc. of Chicago, Roq Innovation is excited to teach the next generation of young entrepreneurs about the ins and outs of product development.

“I’ve always wanted to teach young Black girls about product development and entrepreneurship. Meet the FIRST Roq Innovation cohort. I partnered with the Chicago chapter of Girls Inc. to roll out this pilot program. The girls brainstormed different ideas, presented a concept and developed a marketing strategy for this new product. My job is to bring THEIR vision to life. I can’t wait to share once the product is finished and on sale. All proceeds will go directly to Girls Inc. [...] My goal is to roll out this program to multiple organizations so that our young girls can begin to hone skills to run their own companies. This is the beginning of a dream that I’ve envisioned for a while. I can’t wait to expand and show off their brilliance!” -Raquel Graham
